Hi, I’m Gary aka Gazfunk, aka DJ Gazfunk — a Belfast-based DJ, vinyl collector, radio host and music blogger with a lifelong love of funk, soul, latin, R&B and rare grooves.
For over 25 years I’ve been digging for records, sharing music and playing sets around the world, from small underground clubs to international events.
Along the way I’ve DJ’d in New York, Dublin, London, Manchester, Birmingham, York, Glasgow, Stockholm, Madrid, San Francisco, Austin, Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans, San Antonio, Philadelphia, Saigon, Siem Reap, Melbourne and Sydney.
My collection and selections dig deep into funk, soul, latin, R&B, 60’s garage, tropicalia, freakbeat, psychedelia and forgotten grooves from around the world.

The Big Ol’ Nasty Getdown is a 120 plus member musical collaboration consisting of a revolving line-up with musicians from over 60 widely-known bands currently involved. George Clinton as well as members of Parliament Funkadelic, Kool and the Gang, Graham Central Station, Mandrill, the Time, Fishbone, Galactic, and Dumpstaphunk are just some of the folks involved and that’s only getting started.
